The company with the motto of providing flagship performance at an affordable pricing unveiled its latest smartphone OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 6T launched in India today at an event in New Delhi. This is an upgrade over the OnePlus 6 launched in the begging of this year. There are some minor changes to the phone
There is an in display fingerprint sensor called Screen Unlock also carrying the Face Unlock feature. The powerful Snapdragon 845 Soc by Qualcomm powers the whole functionality. A Waterdrop Notch is seen on top of the display covering the space for the front camera. An increased battery capacity of 3700 mah over 3300 mah. This time they thought of removing the headphone jack from the phone.
OnePlus 6T Price and availability
There are three models to the onePlus 6t viz. 6GB Ram and 128GB storage, 8GB Ram and 128GB storage, and 8GB Ram 256GB storage. The prices are Rs 37999 , Rs 41999 , and Rs 45999 respectively. The phone will be available in Midnight Black and Mirror black editions. It will go on sale from November 2 via Amazon India.
OnePlus 6T Specifications
The OnePlus 6t has 6.41 inches full HD+ Display with the resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. This is an AMOLED panel with the aspect ratio of 19.5:9 protected with gorilla glass 6. On the top, there is a smaller notch for the camera and sensors. A small chin is seen in the bottom but the fingerprint isn’t there. It is embedded in the display itself. Yes! the fingerprint sensor is moved from the back. In the back, it has a glass body, dual cameras, and OnePlus logo.
It has Android 9.0 Pie running inside coupled together with the OxyGenOS. Coming to the hardware part, it has Snapdragon 845 running coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. There are two Ram options namely 6GB and 8GB. The storage is of 128GB and 256GB that cannot be expanded. All this is powered by a 3700 mah battery supporting fast charging. And, there is a fast charger with the rating of 5V 4A.
Talking about the cameras, it has dual cameras in the back and a single camera in the front. In the rear, the primary camera is of 16 MegaPixels Sony IMX519 sensor with the aperture of f/1.7 and 1.22-micron pixel size. The secondary camera is a 20 megapixels Sony IMX376K sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and pixel size of 1-micron. . In the front, the OnePlus 6T has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and pixel size of 1-micron. The Rear camera is capable of shooting 4K video at 6fps, super slow motion videos and is coupled with EIS and OIS. The front camera is also used for the Face Unlock. There is a low light night photography option.
The OnePlus 6t has dual Sim support, 4G, VOLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, USB Type C. Sadly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack this time but there is type C to 3.5mm adapter. You can also use wireless headphones for the media. There is an in display fingerprint sensor placed in the lower part of the display.

- There is an upgrade in the battery capacity of the phone from 3300 mah in OnePlus 6 to 3700 mah in the 6T.
- Size of the Notch is reduced and now it is just the camera space.
- The fingerprint sensor is moved from back to the front and now it is embedded within the display.
- This time they decided to bump the size of Display and also now the protection is of Gorilla Glass 6.
All in all its a great phone with some minor improvements over the last generation of OnePlus device. Talking about improvements they bumped up battery capacity, reduced the notch size, and included a fingerprint sensor in the display itself.
